Last August 15, 2016 about 2,000 people gathered in heavy rain include the anti- Marcos organization composed of relatives of Martial law's victims and civil organization to denounce Mr. Duterte's plans to move Marcos remains from his northern hometown to the National Heroes Cemetery in the capital, Manila, next month.

"We would be the laughing stock of the entire planet," Senator Risa Hontiveros, one of four members of parliament to attend the Manila rally, said Ms. Hontiveros added that Marcos was an "unrepentant enemy of our heroes"

Last Thursday, August 11, 2016 President Rodrigo Duterte reiterated his argument that the late strongman Ferdinand Marcos deserves to be buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani because he is a soldier and a former president. He is qualified to be buried there based on the constitution. A lot of netizens expressed their opinion through social media about the decision of our president in allowing the family of late former president Marcos to bury his body in the National Heroes Cemetery.

The same poll was conducted on Twitter where 46 percent was not in favor, 45 percent agreed, and 9 percent did not care. The total twitter respondents were 2,990.

Malaca Jmz: I do not agree with the burial of FM sa Libingan ng mga Bayani. I just hope #DU30 would do something to peace with the victims of martial law

Even though a lot of people against the decision of President Rodrigo Duterte, President Duterte stand about his decision, according to him, the "law" provides that Marcos can be buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani as he was a former soldier.

"The Law is there, existing. You read it a thousand times and you still arrive at a conclusion that he is qualified. Even if he is not a hero, he was a soldier."

The said burial was scheduled this September 18, 2016.- RB De Leon
