For some people, growing old is one of the most burdensome moments in their lives. As they reach their golden years, physical and emotional changes greatly affect their well- being. Sickness and depression brought about by these changes have a great impact in living a more fruitful and active lifestyle. Hence, it is very important to maintain that awesome physique- which helps to further develop their personality through various forms of exercise that are suited for elderly.


Aside from a healthy diet, exercise is one of the most effective yet inexpensive options to keep the body in top shape. It is very beneficial in slowing and even reversing the process of ageing. Daily exercise increases muscular strength and bone density, develops stamina and strength, improves posture, enhances balance and coordination, intensifies self- esteem and elevates functional abilities.


A routine exercise also provides myriad health benefits among people, most especially the ‘golden agers’. There are specific chronic illness which can be improved with a daily exercise such as heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and arthritis. Likewise, other conditions including osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, and cancer can also be prevented with the aid of a regular exercise.
